FACT: There are not enough resources to prepare students for the SAT, especially non-english speakers. In 2012 the population of immigrants increased to 40.8 million yet HS graduation rates for non-english speakers was only 46%.
WE is an app that addresses these issues. Our goal is to build a centralized location where students, teachers and parents can gather to seek and share resources & support. We want to ensure that students are no longer intimidated by HS graduation requirements or the college application process. Rather than feeling overwhelmed and potentially dropping out of school, they will have a one stop shop to prepare. We aim to prepare students to feel confident and ready to begin their journey.
WE will provide
- Tutoring and Testing support: SAT Preparation tools
- Scheduler: To organize weekly prep sessions, testing deadlines
- Planning: College Application Planning & Resources
- Discussion Forum: Allows students to interact with peers and educators
- Parent Portal: Allowing for parents to view information about student testing timelines, requirements, scholarship resources etc. Multilingual support (English/Spanish).
